When I was a kid, I was surrounded by photo boxes and family albums. My grandparents had this epic display of all the kids' school pictures and albums full of wedding photos. Every time we visited anyone, I pulled out all the scrap books and albums. I was catching up with their lives, getting to see and experience what they had done while we were apart or even before I was born! It helped us feel closer and helped me see where I belonged in this big world.
I still love connecting with friends and family now over their photos. We have a whole library of albums from each year and a gallery wall of milestones that grows with us. There's thousands of photos on my phone and social media too but I never get to enjoy them.
Life's too short not to relive it.
